Ya'll this is my first blog post in years!! Probably since my tumblr days lol, I'm so excited to be sharing more of my life and you give you all a glimpse of my personality (and artist!) behind the brand Dirty Blossom. Fun fact about me is that I'm a huge magazine + bookworm. My dream home? A floor to ceiling library filled with all my favorite books. I mean honestly, what a FLEX- especially if you've read most of them. I love a good balance between art, self-help and juicy fiction. Oh and I can't forget a good memoir!! Here are a few of my favs lately: Wildflower by Aurora James-Her story and the making of Brothers Vellies is so powerful. So much resilience, and the intention behind her business is beautiful. Highly recommend this if you're working on a startup or creative brand. Black Power Kitchen by Ghetto Gastro, lush gorgeous storytelling through food. I'm a huge foodie (and lowkey a food critic lol) , so this fed my soul and my tastebuds. Still Life by Doan Ly- A visual dream. How can you not appreciate an artist that designs breathtaking florals and photographs her own work. She was the featured artist at Art In Bloom the year I participated and I was truly impressed, this is a great coffee table book. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho- Forever in my top five. It's one of those books you return to again and again because it hits differently depending on where you are in life. A reminder to follow your heart, stay present, and recognize the magical opportunities in front of you. Thank you for listening to my Bloom talk! I hope you enjoyed this and maybe found a new read or two. Until next time!:)
